Employee Information

Uni-Temp Employees - About Your Pay - On The Job Injury - Reminders

Who We Are

Uni-Temp Temporary Personnel Service is a privately owned company. We get various assignments and frequently have a need for receptionists, secretaries, word processors, data entry clerks, bookkeepers, packers, assemblers, skilled and unskilled laborers, and tradesmen.

As a Uni-Temp employee you have the opportunity to gain new, or improve existing skills and experience.

You Are A Uni-Temp Employee

When you accept an assignment from Uni-Temp, you are a Uni-Temp employee, and not an employee of the company where you are assigned. If at any time you do not understand a job procedure, you are required to call Uni-Temp immediately for clarification.

If you cannot make it to your assignment because of an illness or an emergency, you must call Uni-Temp. Failure to do so can result in the termination of employment. We will take care of notifying the client company.

Excessive or repeated absenteeism will not be tolerated by Uni-Temp.

During the hours that our office is not open, please leave a message on our answering machine.

As a Uni-Temp employee, you are, of course, representing our company. Being on time every day and completing your assignment are very important and we're counting on you to do this to the best of your ability.

About Your Pay

Uni-Temp will pay you on a weekly basis. Since we are not an employment agency, you will not be charged a fee for finding work assignments for you.

Our work week begins at 12:01 a.m. Monday and ends at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

It is your responsibility to have your completed time card signed by your supervisor at the end of your work week. The supervisor should retain the pink copy. The yellow copy is for your records. The white copy must be returned to Uni-Temp. It is your responsibility to return your time card to us by noon on Monday following the week that you worked.

Paychecks are mailed out weekly for the previous work week. You will receive a new time card each week with your check.

Failure to return your time card on time will result in non-payment for that week.

In Case Of On The Job Injury

Because your safety is one of our top priorities, we're careful not to assign you to work in unsafe conditions.

Because it is also your responsibility we are requesting that you:

  • Ask for instructions before operating new equipment
  • If you are asked to perform work which seems unsafe to you, or that is not part of your job description,
    call Uni-Temp.
  • If the job involves lifting, protect your back. Always lift from the knees while keeping your back straight.
  • Unfortunately, accidents do sometimes happen. If you are injured, you must report all injuries to your
supervisor immediately, and proceed to one of your physicians/healthcare providers.

Reminders

Please call Uni-Temp if:
